I tell my students that before each design decision they make, they should ask themselves, "What does this communicate?" I practice what I preach and strive to make every element of my work communicate something about the message that I am trying to convey. I am a graduate of Kutztown University with a BFA in Communication Design. After many years in the field working in design studios in MD, DC, Philadelphia and NJ, I earned an MFA from Tyler School of Art. Recently, I have had my work included in Creative Quarterly, The Dieline, AIGA and How’s In-House Design annual. I have received Merit awards by the Graphis Poster annual. I have been teaching Communication Design courses at Kutztown University since 1995. I am also the supervisor for the Communication Design internship program.
I live in Allentown PA with my husband, daughters and my happy little Westie, Scout. When I am not in the classroom or behind the mouse, I am digging in my garden, cooking up some trouble in the kitchen, or looking for adventures at our little cabin in the woods.
